Home page website copy
Within my first month at REED, I identified that there wasn’t anywhere on their website which outlined who they were, and what they did. As a result, not only did I recommend an ‘about us’ video, but I wrote the script and contributed towards the design. The video is now on the home page of their website.

‘Founded in 1960, with more than 3,000 employees across 180 locations, REED are a family-owned business that puts you, the jobseeker, first wherever you are. At REED Global we recognise that taking the next step isn’t always easy, and that there’s more to the job search than simply posting your CV on a job board. Following 55 years of success, we’ve grown from a single office in London to a global business with highly-trained consultants in 20 different specialisms. With a network of 350 dedicated teams around the world, our global reach means each consultant has the relevant local knowledge required to help you with your career. Each week our consultants register over 1,000 new people looking for work, and arrange over 2,000 interviews. We go beyond what’s expected to set you on the path to the career you want. You’re not just a name on a database, you’re an individual – let us treat you that way.’
APPOINT magazine
REED’s HR and Procurement & Supply Chain magazine – I was in charge of the magazine’s copy, design, print and distribution.

Career advice eBooks
REED’s Career Guides help jobseekers with each step of their career, from CV advice and interview prep, right through to settling into a new role. I came up with the concept, and wrote the majority of the content for these eBooks, which are available online.

REED Australia 10 years microsite
To celebrate REED Australia turning 10 years old, we created a mini website. I contributed largely towards the design and wrote 90% of the content.

Internal marketing examples
During the 12 months I spent at REED, I was asked to design/write/organise the creation of many internal marketing ‘mini’ projects/documents.
For example, the recruitment consultants/business managers/heads of business would ask me for flyers, newsletters, email campaigns, mailers
etc., which they could use themselves to send out on behalf of REED.
Example 1
The below document is a double sided A5 flyer I put together for a careers fair REED were hosting in Korea. The copy reads:

‘Calling all jobseekers! Find your dream role faster with us
Who we are
We are a global company boasting over 56 years of heritage, with a strong Asian
footprint across Hong Kong, China, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
We specialise in

Example 2
A ‘letter’ of sorts, urging jobseekers to work with recruitment consultants, to the best of their ability, as it will benefit them in the long run.

Why working with a recruitment agency benefits you
Having a close relationship with a consultant will help your ambitions become a reality. You’ll be able to take a step back, knowing we’ll be doing everything we can to find you a job you’ll love.
• We can find you suitable roles which may not even be openly advertised
• We’ll negotiate and find the best offer and package for you
• We give CV and career advice to help you feel confident and ready to interview
• We can give you access to insider knowledge, thanks to the strong relationships we have with our clients
Help us to help you
In order for us to be the best possible support to you, all we ask is that you keep us in the loop.
• If you’re honest about what you want and your expectations, we’ll do our very best to find that for you. The more we know about you and your background, the better we can promote you to an employer.
• Please do tell us about any prior commitments you’ve made. That way, we’ll know when you are free for interviews.
• If you’re worried about doing any tests for clients, let us know. We can help you and even provide you with some training.
And lastly
• If you’ve found your perfect role and are no longer looking, please let us know so we can update your record and, of course, don’t hesitate to get in touch if this changes in the future.

Six Nations mailer
Subject Line: Calling all sports fans…
Dear XXXX,
The Six Nations starts this weekend! Will England bounce back after their World Cup woes? Will Wales bring their A game, following a positive performance against the Bokkes? We’ll soon find out!
Whichever side you’re supporting, there’s a lot we can all learn about effective management from watching these impressive teams at work. REED recently caught up with Rugby Legend Sir Clive Woodward at one of our Business Leaders events. We all remember how he led England to victory in the 2003 World Cup and to an elusive Grand Slam in the Six Nations.
In our chat, Sir Clive draws on a wealth of experience to give his fascinating insight into what makes a champion, as well as practical advice on how to coach your team to success. Click on the links below to watch him discuss the following topics:
1. Are champions born or made?
2. How to deal with underachievement
3. What’s more important – the team or the individual?
Just don’t forget to give us a call on XXXXX XXXXXX if you have any positions you need to fill. We can help give you a team of champions! But for now – enjoy the games and the videos. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Recommendation
“Katy is a great team player, a great content editor and is extremely creative. She has a good sense of what an audience wants to read and learn and how to make a piece of content engaging. She is also great managing projects.
I highly recommend Katy to any kind of business that wants to increase their online presence.“
