Estate planners emailing cold targets

Subject Line: The mistake you could be making…

Do you know what the most common mistake is when it comes to estate planning, {CustomerName}?

Not having an estate plan in the first place. Now you might be thinking “I haven’t got the time” or “I’m too young” or “I’m not wealthy enough,” but the fact of the matter is – you need one.

Here at {BusinessName} we’ve made it our mission this month to spread the word; it doesn’t matter if your pockets are filled with gold or coppers, if you’ve got assets to leave behind when you’re gone, you should have an estate plan in place.

We’re also making it our priority to get our customers to review their estate plans… If you’re getting married, getting divorced, purchasing or refinancing a home, opening a new account, just had a child or your children are about to go to a new school, your estate plan needs reviewing. If any of those life events relate to you, and you haven’t got an estate plan in place, your family could find themselves in a sticky situation, should anything happen to you.

An estate plan will eliminate the stress and worry when it comes to planning for retirement, providing for loved ones, avoiding estate taxes… basically, there’s a heck of a lot an estate plan can do to make your life easier and your assets more secure.

Children’s nurseries emailing their current clients

Subject Line: Praying for a bit of peace and quiet?

Hi {ParentName},

Are you looking forward to Valentine’s Day this year? You’re probably thinking “Well, I would be if it wasn’t on a Saturday… and I didn’t have kids to entertain!” Don’t worry, {NurseryName} get it, we completely get it; yes you love your kids, but sometimes it would be nice to get out and do something different – without them!

Well, it’s your lucky day… this month we thought as a little thank you to all you mums and dads, we’d steal your kid/s for a few hours on Valentine’s Day (not literally, obviously). They can come in for an afternoon of arts and crafts on February 14, and you can run off for a couple of hours and spend some time alone. How does that sound?

You’re probably thinking ‘what’s the catch?’ but there isn’t one! You know us very well, you trust us with your little one and you know they’ll have a good time with their friends. Simple. If you’d like to find out more, just give us a call on {NurseryNumber}. We’ll update you with all the finer details – like when you can drop them off! We will need to know before February 12 however, so get ringing; we have arts and crafts stools to set up remember!

If you’d like to spend some time alone with your partner this Valentines, or even just spend some quality time with a pal, give us a call.

Subject Line: Fishing frenzy!

If you fish illegally in the UK, you’re going to get a fine. If you fish illegally in Indonesia… you’re going to need another boat! Have a look at this crazy story: http://bit.ly/1t0cYj3. The video in this story shows the punishment of three Vietnamese fishing vessels after they entered the country’s waters illegally. Did they get a slap on the wrist and a fine? Oh no, no, no…

Their boats were blown up! Now that’s what I call a strict approach to tackle illegal fishing. Navy spokesman Manahan Simorangkir said: “The message we want to convey is no foreigners should steal from Indonesian waters.”

According to the authorities foreigners are partly responsible for massive damage to the environment. Now, I’m all for getting your message across, but it’s got to be said – I think this method may be a little on the dangerous side!

But in all seriousness, the story really did get me thinking… If greater measures were taken in the UK for crime, would it reduce the amount that there is?

I’ll leave that one to you… You see, although it might be a rather alarming story – I doubt you’ll be hearing about any boats trying to fish illegally in Indonesia any time soon!
